Common questions about bookkeeping support
Straightforward answers to the things business owners ask us most.
Your sales invoices, purchase bills and supplier statements, plus read-only access to the bank feed. If any expenses were paid personally or in cash, send those receipts too — they are the entries that most often go missing. Once the first month is set up, most clients send nothing at all, because the feeds and the invoicing system do it for them.
Monthly, as a standing routine. Entries are recorded and categorised through the month, the bank is reconciled after month end, and your statements are issued in the first working week — while the numbers still describe a month you can remember. Businesses with very few transactions can run quarterly instead; we will tell you which you actually need after looking.
Yes, and it is more common than you would think. We review what exists, tell you how far back the gaps go, and quote the catch-up as a fixed piece of work before you commit to anything. It is separate from the monthly fee and it has a defined end — not an open meter. Old VAT periods are reviewed at the same time and corrected properly if they need it.
Almost certainly. We work inside Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, Tally, Sage and Odoo, in your own account under your ownership. If you do not have software yet, we will set it up as part of the first month rather than as a separate project. Nothing is locked to us — if you ever move on, the books stay exactly where they are.
